Challenge

Taste of Belgium, a Cincinnati/Columbus favorite, draws on its Belgian heritage to create a one-of-a-kind, Belgian-inspired, locally infused culinary experience. The restaurant thumbs their nose at convention and treats their guests and their taste buds to unexpected combinations and unorthodox preparations.  From one person and a waffle iron, Taste of Belgium expanded into multiple food establishments including two full service Bistros and two market locations.  The owner, Jean-Francois Flechet, wanted to drive more awareness to his Clifton Bistro (which sits next to The University of Cincinnati's campus) and CoupSmart helped him do just that.


Solution

CoupSmart helped Taste of Belgium create campaigns that increased new & existing fans' awareness of TOB's most recently opened Belgian-inspired eatery by offering $10 off its "Belgianized" American meals and ran promotions that allowed Facebook fans to enter contests for a FREE three course meal.  Taste of Belgium was featured on the Food Network's "Diner, Drive-Ins and Dives" (hosted by the one and only Guy Fieri).  We named the campaign the "Eat like Guy Contest", but all applicants should note that anyone and everyone who enters Jean-Francois' restaurant MUST "Eat Like a Belgian, Drink Like a Belgian, Live Like a Belgian".
